NiuBoL NBL-WQ-TS-4A online turbidity sensor adopts the 90° scattered light method principle and is specially designed for industrial water quality online monitoring. It can accurately measure turbidity values from low to high ranges and supports RS-485 Modbus/RTU protocol for easy integration into SCADA, PLC and IoT systems.
NBL-WQ-TS-4A Online Turbidity Sensor: High-Precision, Anti-Interference Industrial-grade Turbidity Online Monitoring Solution In drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment and industrial process water, turbidity is an important indicator for measuring water clarity. Turbidity anomalies often lead to process loss of control, filter blockage or non-compliant discharge. The NiuBoL NBL-WQ-TS-4A online turbidity sensor adopts the 90° scattered light method principle. It emits a light beam through an infrared LED light source, measures the scattered light intensity in the direction perpendicular to the incident light, and outputs stable and accurate NTU values in real time after linearization processing. The sensor is easy to install and maintain, with strong resistance to external light interference. It is particularly suitable for system integrators and engineering contractors to build reliable online water quality monitoring systems, effectively solving the industry pain points of slow response, susceptibility to light interference and complex integration in traditional turbidity instruments. Core Advantages Strong Anti-Interference and High Stability: Optical fiber structure combined with infrared LED light source effectively resists external light interference, with built-in temperature sensor, small drift and stable long-term operation. High Precision and Multi-Range Coverage: Provides three ranges: 0~20.00 NTU, 0~200.0 NTU, 0~1000.0 NTU, with minimum resolution of 0.01 NTU, meeting comprehensive needs from drinking water to high-turbidity wastewater. Easy Integration and Strict Protection: Natively supports RS-485 Modbus/RTU protocol, optional 4-20 mA output, IP68 protection rating, supports 20-meter water depth immersion, suitable for various industrial sites. The NiuBoL NBL-WQ-TS-4A online turbidity sensor is an integrated industrial-grade online turbidity monitoring device designed based on the 90° scattered light measurement principle. When the light beam enters the water sample, turbidity substances in the water cause light scattering. The sensor detects the scattered light intensity in the vertical direction, compares it with internal calibration values, and outputs the final turbidity value after linearization processing. The sensor requires no reagent consumption, has a response time of T90<30s, and stable data output. It is widely suitable for engineering projects that require real-time and continuous monitoring of water turbidity. For system integrators, the standardized Modbus protocol allows direct connection to existing PLC, DCS or IoT platforms for seamless data collection and remote monitoring. For engineering contractors, it significantly reduces on-site construction difficulty and later maintenance costs, ensuring that the monitoring system operates stably for a long time under complex water quality conditions. The product has undergone 72-hour aging testing and strict quality inspection, and has high reliability upon leaving the factory. NBL-WQ-TS-4A Online Turbidity Sensor Key Technical Advantages 1. Advanced 90° Scattered Light Measurement Technology The sensor uses an infrared LED light source with high stability and long service life. The optical fiber structure significantly enhances resistance to external light interference. The built-in Pt1000 temperature sensor realizes automatic temperature compensation to ensure that measurement results are not affected by ambient temperature fluctuations. The 90° scattered light principle complies with international standards and has extremely high sensitivity to fine particles in water. 2. Reliable Hardware Protection Design - Housing material uses POM+ABS engineering plastic, lightweight and corrosion-resistant, suitable for long-term immersion in various water bodies. - Protection rating IP68, supports maximum 20-meter water depth immersion, and can work stably in harsh underwater environments. - Installation method is submerged, with 3/4NPT pipe thread interface, convenient and flexible. - Standard 5-meter cable, supports customization of longer lengths to meet different on-site wiring requirements. 3. Intelligent Communication and Low Power Consumption Integration Supports RS-485 Modbus/RTU protocol, with stable and reliable communication, easy to seamlessly integrate with various host computer systems. Optional 4-20 mA analog output meets the needs of different control systems. Power consumption is only 0.2W@12V, and the low-energy design is particularly suitable for distributed or remote monitoring stations. 4. Convenient Maintenance and Calibration Uses two-point calibration method (zero point + slope), simple operation. Zero point calibration uses zero-turbidity liquid, and slope calibration uses standard turbidity solution. After the value stabilizes for 3~5 minutes, calibration is completed through Modbus commands. It is recommended to regularly check the cleanliness of the measurement window and clean with tap water or a soft cloth with detergent to maintain optimal measurement performance. These technical features enable the NBL-WQ-TS-4A to perform excellently in long-term operation and significantly improve the engineering reliability and data accuracy of the water quality monitoring system.
